LONDON GATWI CK

The delicious cream tea is a summer

tradition, so why not enjoy it aboard

the beautiful electric Wiggonholt

canal boat as it glides along the idyllic

Loxwood Link section of the Wey and

Arun canal, surrounded by beautiful

countryside? In the 19th century, the

Wey and Arun Canal formed a vital link,

the only one between the south coast

and the Thames. Today you can enjoy

a 90-minute cruise, departing from the

Canal Centre behind the Onslow Arms

in Loxwood. Booking is essential, cruises

take place on 7th August, and 5th or 19th

September; tickets are £14 per person.

LEEDS BRADFORD

Perhaps the last major music festival of the summer season, Leeds music festival is now

in its 19th year and is expected to be particularly popular after this year’s absence of

Glastonbury from the festival scene. Appearing at Bramham Park from 24th-26th August,

this year’s line-up includes Fall Out Boy, Travis Scott, Kendrick Lamar, Panic at the Disco and

Kings of Leon on the main stage. Other highlights are Dua Lipa, Sum 41, Mike Shinoda (of

Linkin Park), Wolf Alice, Courteeners, Skepta, Travis Scott, The Kooks and The Vaccines. You

can take a break from the music and watch some great live comedy on the Alternative

stage – top comedians appearing include Harry Hill, Seann Walsh, Lee Nelson, Tom Lucy, Joel

Dommett and many more. Buy a day ticket or make a full weekend of it and camp too –

Pink Moon Camping has its own dedicated campsite within the festival site, offering various

styles of accommodation. The best part? They’re already set up and waiting for you to arrive.

The Pink Moon tents, tips and kushtis accomodate two to eight people. Or how about a

pre-pitched Podpad, a quirky boutique camping alternative to the traditional tent. Podpads

have various styles of accommodation and cater for two to six people. Leeds’s festival is a

great chance to dance away the last of the summer days, so buy your tickets now at

of Limoges, the Parc Zoo du Reynou

open every day during summer. There are

more than 600 animals to see from all five

continents – you’ll find llamas and tapirs

from South America; lions, zebras and

rhinoceros from Africa; Sumatran tigers

and red pandas from Asia and many

more. There’s also a mini farm with rabbits,

ponies, donkeys and goats. The visitors’

trail covers three miles of paths and over

100 acres. More than 130 animal and
