FLYBE TIME
A TO FLYBE
Flybe is the largest scheduled airline
at Manchester Airport and it recently
started a year-round daily service to
Lyon with a flight time of 1hr 45 minutes.
The historic city is a World Heritage Site
and a thriving cultural centre. It is also a
major centre for the banking, chemical,
pharmaceutical, and biotech industries.
The airline will also operate a
twice-weekly service to Chambéry from
December as part of its 2016–17 Winter
schedule. The destination is ideally
positioned, not only for French resorts,
but for Swiss and Italian ski slopes too,
with hundreds of resorts within easy
reach of the popular French city.
Flybe’s Chief Revenue Officer,
Vincent Hodder, commented: “Lyon is
an appealing option for both business
and leisure travellers, with frequent daily
flights that give customers the flexibility
they need when arranging their travel
plans. We’re also pleased to announce
an expansion to our ski destinations with
the addition of Chambéry joining our
Geneva and Toulouse routes.”
Stephen Turner, Commercial Director
for Manchester Airport, added: “We’re
delighted to see the launch of Flybe’s
new daily service to Lyon and the
addition to its Winter schedule. We’re
confident both routes will prove hugely
popular with the 22 million people in our
catchment area.”

month earlier on 1st October, with a
Saturday service only during this initial
four-week period. It is a move that is
sure to be welcomed by those looking to
