Fisherman’s Friends
,
the heart-warming true story of a group
of Cornish fishermen who were signed
by the legendary Island Records (label
to artists including Amy Winehouse,
Bob Marley and U2) and went on to
score a UK top 10 album, sails into
cinemas across the UK and Ireland.

Hayman, Dave Johns, and Noel

Fisherman’s Friends
was shot on
location in Cornwall.
Bound by friendship and shared
experiences, for more than 25 years,
the Fisherman’s Friends have met on
the harbour in their native Port Isaac, to
raise money for charity by singing sea
shanties handed down to them by their
forefathers.
Their 2010 album
Port Isaac’s
Fisherman’s Friends
saw them became
the first traditional folk act to land a UK
top 10 album. They sang for the Queen
at her Diamond Jubilee celebrations,
released an additional two hit albums,
played for hundreds of thousands
of fans including a performance at
Glastonbury in 2011 Folk Awards.
