ithout doubt, it has been a

busy summer for Flybe –

and one during which we

have opened up another

memorable new chapter in our airline’s history.

While the UK puts its clocks back an hour when

British Summer Time officially ends later this

month, here at Flybe we are looking forward!

Until recently, almost every part of our

business has been touched by our ‘Close to

You’ brand refresh, with one

exception – the livery on our

aircraft. Creating a new look that

more closely reflected this than

the existing all-over purple was

one of the last key elements. I

am therefore delighted to share

with you the news that we have

now welcomed into our fleet

the first aircraft painted in our

new colours. Do keep an eye

out around our network for this eye-catching

Bombardier Q400. We do hope you agree it is

a cleaner, more modern, streamlined design

which will be rolled out across all our Q400 and

Embraer 175 aircraft over the next six years.

Read all about the painting programme in the

Flybe’s World news section on page 80.

As we head into autumn, we also look

forward to the start of our new 2018-19 winter

schedule. This features 126 routes offering a

choice of up to 2,674 flights a week. We have
