Calling all cocktail purists! One Aldwych Hotel’s latest boozy
offering, the Old Fashioned Cocktail Trolley, isn’t for the faint-
hearted: sidle up to The Lobby Bar in this five-star institution
to enjoy the classic libation in style. The original, 130-year-old
Old Fashioned recipe was a mix of whisky, sugar and bitters,
but The Lobby Bar’s world-first trolley experience will offer
you a choice of three base spirits: Woodford Reserve small
batch bourbon, Bacardi eight-year-old rum and Patrón Silver
tequila. House-made syrups and aromatic bitters are added
to your chosen spirit, the cocktail is poured over a large ice
cube and it’s finished with a garnish – all contained within the
Mad Men-esque trolley. Sit, sip and enjoy.

BOROUGH P L AT E S
Borough Market is teeming six days a week – its reputation as
London’s oldest and fully-independent market ensures a healthy
crowd of tourists and locals looking to discover the best in
artisanal, sustainable food products. Until now, though, all on-site
eating opportunities have been hosted by independent traders.
Borough Plates is a new pop-up initiative that’s running until the
end of March, offering foodies the chance to try seasonal dishes
created solely from ingredients available from the market itself.
Each week, a guest chef will devise a handful of dishes aimed at
showcasing the best of Borough Market. Bookings can be made
for groups of more than six, walk-ins only for smaller groups.

speaking to the adventurer within.
British illustrator Henry lives in
France but draws inspiration for his
designs from across the globe, from
the peaks of the Swiss alps to the
depths of Antarctica, from built-up
metropolises to rural plains. There
are currently 16 designs available,
