The client: Cunard is the five-star, round-the-world and transatlantic cruise line, and the only one to offer a scheduled service between Southampton and New York. Its three ships – Queen Mary 2, Queen Elizabeth and Queen Victoria – are iconic.
The brief: To place in all staterooms (cabins) aboard each ship a seasonal publication that reflects the onboard offering, as both guide and retail inspiration, for the passengers choosing to sail “the greatest ocean liners in the world.” A five-star solution required.
The magazine: A beautiful 100-page, perfect-bound magazine dedicated to unashamed luxury – offered in hardback form to occupants of the top-flight Grill Suites – is also available to download in both mobile and tablet formats to read on deck.
The result: Through carefully-monitored vouchers and response codes it was ascertained that the Cunard magazine contributed to both increased levels of customer satisfaction and higher levels of discretionary spend throughout the ship at bars and retail points.
